Nidderdale

Situated in the eastern part of the Yorkshire Dales, Nidderdale and the river Nidd begin on the southside of Great Whernside (2300ft). Over 25 miles in length the dale has three cascading resevoirs, beautiful moorland and superb dale edge walks.  The dale eventually levels out towards Harrogate as the river Nidd flows through Knaresborough into the river Ouse. Nidderdale has been designated  an area of outstanding beauty.
